Vendor Overview:

Booth space will be assigned on a first come first paid basis. However, in order to ensure a diversity of resident handling equipment, applications may be selected by the Seminar Committee to satisfy category criteria. Please be aware that participating in this seminar does not mean that OSHA or the planning partners endorse your company’s product(s).

Categories include:

  • Transfer Devices
    • Sitting – Transfer Boards
    • Standing/Raising Aids – Battery, Manual, Fixed
    • Supine Lateral Transfer – Reduced friction, Convertible
  • Resident Lifting Devices
    • Totally Dependent – Portable, Ceiling Mount Lift
  • Repositioning Devices
    • Bed – Reduced Friction, Hip Lifters, Slings
    • Chairs – Geri, Cardiac
    • Ambulation – Manual Walker, Battery Powered Walker, Gait Belts
    • Other – Scales, Tub/Toilet/Shower Chairs, Tub, Trolley, Bath Lifts, Slings
  • Bariatric Equipment

Sessions will be scheduled to demonstrate, train, and allow the course participant’s facility staff to evaluate the equipment for potential purchase or lease. The vendor is encouraged to provide equipment at the participant’s facility for a minimum of one week. A show promotional discount is also encouraged.

All exhibits must be installed by 7:30 am on September 9, 2008. You may begin setting up at 6:00 am on September 9, 2008. It may be possible to set the evening before but will not know that until three weeks prior. Exhibit dismantling is from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on September 9, 2008.

Each vendor will be provided one free lunch. Additional lunches will cost $25.00.

Each vendor is encouraged to provide a door prize to be given away.

Audio devices used as part of an exhibit, which project sounds beyond the perimeter of the exhibitor’s booth, are not permitted.

Interviews, demonstrations, and distribution of literature, purchase/lease options must be made within the booth space assigned to the exhibitor.

The space must be paid in full by August 26, 2008. If the assigned space is not paid in full by this date, it may be reassigned. The contract is not valid until paid in full. No refunds will be made for space reserved and not used. Checks are payable and mailed to WHCA Safer Environment, 121 East Wilson Street, L200, Madison, WI 53703.

Cancellations must be received in writing by August 8, 2008. If cancellation is made after August 8, 2008 there will be a $100 cancellation fee. Refund requests must be in writing and can be faxed to Skitch MacKenzie at 608-257-0025.
