The WHCA/WiCAL “I Am Long Term Care” video challenge is open to all WHCA/WiCAL member employees, residents, their families and volunteers and is an opportunity to show the world what it really means to be on the front lines of long term care.
You don’t need to have any experience to participate. Simply contact your district President to reserve a camcorder – or use one of your own – create your video (a handout with tips is available here) no more than three minutes in duration, and upload it here. That’s it!
Top videos are eligible for fantastic prizes (worth more than $1,000) to be awarded at WHCA/WiCAL’s Fall Convention, and will also be used in our grassroots efforts. Too often the discussion on long term care doesn’t move past budget deficits and funding shortfalls. These videos can send a powerful message to legislators, the public, and the media about the very real faces behind long term care in Wisconsin. Possibilities include launching our own YouTube channel, putting them on our website, and sharing them with the media.
